Countdown to Suicide Squad: 3 easter eggs you missed in the trailer

We're THREE days away from Suicide Squad the movie! THREE FREAKIN DAYS! Its time we brush up on our Suicide Squad knowlege so that if some fan calls you out, you can back it up with actual facts from the comicbook canon! HAH! Take that, you casual fan who learned-everything-about-the-suicide-squad-from-the-trailers!

Speaking of trailers, there are probably some easter eggs that you've missed. Some of these easter eggs come from non-mainstream comicbooks, and some were hidden in small details.

3. Harley Quinn's origin

Let's start with the obvious. Harley Quinn is one of the central figure in the movie. Before DC launch their New 52 reboot, Harley had a single origin. She was psychiatrist at the Arkham Asylum then she fell in love with the Joker. With the many rumors that the producers will make us of this Mad Love origin, many fans believed that they, in fact, will. The scene showing that Harley and Joker were at opposite ends of the table only confirms that they will use Mad Love to narrate Harley's origin. But this new scene from the trailers only show that the producers also integrated Harley's origin as narrated in the New 52.

Harley's origin is found at Detective Comics 23.2--Joker pushed Harley into a tank filled with chemicals.

2. Slipknot and bombs

Many have thought that Slipknot will detract from the SKWAD because he is not included in the team previews and promotional merchandise. Him, being a third-tier villain and his limited exposure spells "BOOM" everywhere. In the latest trailer, it can be seen that Slipknot is one of the six original members chosen by Amanda Waller.

However, we do not see Slipknot in the fight scenes nor the SKWAD montage shot. Slipknot may prove to be that character who would go BOOM before things get interesting.

1. Mr. Frost

In the latest Suicide Squad trailer, we can imply that Joker is the one responsible for knocking the SKWAD's chopper off the sky (or at least thats what the trailer suggests). We also see Jim Parrack operating the machine gun that eventually (or impliedly) brought down the chopper. A closer look at that particular scene, we can see a nametag of Jim's character. For quite some time, he was rumored to be Deathstroke but apparently he's playing a character with a minor role. He's none other than Jonny Frost!

Created by Brian Azzarello and Lee Bermejo, Frost is one of the most reliable henchman of Joker. If you look closer, you'll also see a "JSF" patch on his right arm. Is it an abbreviation for "Joker Strike Team"? If you puzzle everything together, Joker having his own strike team actually makes sense.
