Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Injustice Edition gadget review

"Do you know the only reward you get for being Batman?

You get to be BATMAN"

- Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader by Neil Gaiman

Batman's success relies heavily on two things: brains and gadgets. I know for a fact that you already have the brains. The only question is: do you have the gadget to become the Dark Knight?

Nope, I'm not talking about his famous utility belt. I'm talking about this sleek Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Injustice Edition.

Before we start, I would like to thank Ms. Anna Galura of Kimstore for allowing me to try out this very limited Galaxy S7 Edge. It is a honor and a privilege to hold a limited edition Batman-themed phone. Pre-order price is at P49,500. If you want to place your order immediately, you can click here. You can also check out Kimstore's social media sites for more details regarding the Galaxy S7 Edge Injustice Edition.

This article isn't your ordinary gadget review. Instead of comparing specs with other phones, let me tell you why this phone is worth splurging for.

I know, I know... P49,500. The phone comes with a hefty price tag. But if you compare it with the other premium phones, you'll see that P49,500 is not far ahead.

Based from the numbers above, it seems like the extra P7,510 was used to pay for the DC License. Still expensive? On paper, yes, I agree with you guys, P7,510 is still a lot. But what if I told you that it comes with a customized hard shell case that resembles Batman's suit? Ow and before I forget, the Injustice Edition comes with a gold metal Batarang, Batman Prime Injustice starter pack that's worth $100, and a black matte-finished Samsung VR Gear.

The case was a bit heavy but I think it was purposely made that way to imitate Batman's suit.

They placed a copyright at the back of the Batarang. I like it, it adds exclusivity to it.

The packaging is really great. I haven't seen a phone packaged in a way that Samsung did for this unit. Not only that, but you also get extra stuff like a phone mat, which I think is really cool.

As a BIG Batman fan, this phone is definitely worth the money. On paper, P49,500 looks absurd, but you have to look at it as a bundle and not just a phone with a cool theme.

The phone is pretty much the same as the regular Galaxy S7 Edge. If you're looking for its specs, click here. The only difference between the regular version and this Injustice Edition is the exclusive theme that comes with it.  Here are some of the skins I stumbled upon while playing with the phone:

Look at the details on that thing! Take a bow, Samsung!

Even the keypad is hot AF!

Nothing says Bruce Wayne better than the phone's interface and its crisp design. When Samsung launched the S7 Edge, I wasn't impressed because it's finish resembles that of an iPhone. What I hated most was the translucent lines on the side of the phone which imitates the iPhone design.

With the Injustice Edition, they completely covered the sides with black metallic paint. The antenna port was also covered in black to match the entire phone. Without the case, the glass coat at the back makes it aesthetically beautiful. The gold finish at the rim of the camera compliments its beauty.

If you ask me, I think the designer opted to go for black and gold because, first, its damn sexy! And second, it resembles Christian Bale's Batsuit. Good move since Bale's suit resonates among the younger generation.

The only think I didn't like about the S7 Edge (in general) is the curved screen. I'm a guy who uses the phone with two of my index fingers laying on the side. But that's just me, and not really an issue.

I'm an Apple guy. So it pains me to say it means a lot when I say that, "I LOVE THIS PHONE." Battery life is amazing! The design is sleek and the icons are less campy/cartoony. I was blown away with the many built-in camera features it came with. It can take a very descent 3D/VR photos.

The "Always On" feature also took me by surprise. Basically, even if you lock your phone, the LCD will continue to show you the time, date, notifications, and that awesome Batman logo. I like it because with other phones, you have to constantly open the screen to check for the time or notifications. The best part about it is that it doesn't drain your battery significantly.

Here's what I loved most about this phone...
"LIMITED EDITION"
See that subtle "LIMITED EDITION" mark? Yeah, that's the money shot for me. That's the selling point for every Batman fan. The subtle details like this is what collectors go for.

Will this phone make me feel like Batman? DAMN RIGHT IT WILL! Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (and again, it pains me to say this) is the top phone available in the market. Walking down a dark alley wouldn't be a problem because as long as I have this phone in my pocket, I'll always feel that I'm Batman.

The phone is an eye candy, the Batman theme is really amazing, and its limited. I strongly recommend this phone to everyone who needs a replacement. Heck, i'll even break my 6-month old iPhone 6S just so I have a reason to get the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Injustice Edition! The price is a bit intimidating, but you get your money's worth. If you really want this phone and funds are a bit scarce, Kimstore offers 3-6-9 installment payments via credit cards.
